About the Journal
The journal is the working space for students who study with me directly, in one of my small groups.
If you have arrived at this page, you are likely a seeker — someone reading the teaching content who tapped the journal button out of curiosity. The teaching content in this app is for you. The journal is not, at least not yet. Let me explain why, and what you can do if this work draws you further.

Vedanta is not a self-help tradition. Reading about it is the beginning, not the work. The work itself happens slowly, across months and years, through daily practice, structured inquiry, and honest self-observation. It changes a person at a deep level. And in my experience — and in the experience of the lineage I come from — that depth of change is hard to do alone.
Students who walk this path with a teacher tend to go further than students who walk it alone. Not because the teacher is doing something the student cannot do for themselves. Because the teacher is the one who can ask the inconvenient question, notice the pattern the student has been working hard not to see, and hold the student steady when the practice is not delivering what they expected.
The journal is the working environment where that teacher-student relationship happens between sessions. It is where the student records what they noticed, sits with a difficult question, names what they are practicing this week, and stays in touch with me directly. It is private to the student and to me. It is not a feature available to readers.

Being a student looks like this. Small cohorts, ten to twenty people. Direct contact with me. A regular rhythm of sessions — usually weekly or biweekly, depending on the group. Practice and inquiry between sessions, captured in the journal. A purpose that is honestly your own, not a borrowed lofty one. A pace that fits your actual life.
It is not a course. There is no curriculum to complete. There is no graduation. Some students work with me for a year, some for several years. The work continues for as long as it is useful.

I take students slowly. There is no application process to navigate, but there is also no fast path. We will likely have a conversation before either of us decides whether the fit is right.
